Both, Jura S8 and E8 should fit perfectly on your kitchen countertop. No matter what material it’s made of, a kitchen countertop is an excellent surface for a coffee machine. Let me write a short review for Jura E8 vs S8 and compare these two automated coffee machines.

Jura E8 vs Jura S8 Differences

They both are Jura brands, but with differences, you’ll find out reading the text that follows. Some crucial differences that help distinguish Jura S8 and E8 are explained in the text that follows.

The first known difference is that Jura E8 has a tea-making function, while the S8 model doesn’t have. This is good news if you or your family members drink not only coffee but also tea.

Besides that, the E8 makes a latte while the competitor offers cafe latte on the menu. You should choose the model depending on your preferences.

This one bothers me the most: Jura S8 comes with a water level indicator, and the E8 has none. The water indicator is useful, and I sure would like to have it.

Jura E8 coffee machine brings a new professional fine foam frotherG2 technology. It is made of the highest-quality materials and has a stunning look and feel. This part is specially designed for the preparation of coffee specialties with milk and milk foam. With milk or milk foam, you’ll get a latte macchiato and other beverages with the very best fine-textured foam every time on demand. Jura E8 has outstanding features. It isn’t the cheapest bean-to coffee machine on the U.S. market, but sure is one of the best. You can enjoy the best-tasting coffee with steamed milk and hot water. Also, there are plenty of choices and the full-color screen makes it easy to navigate. A removable water tank is at the side so it’s easy to access.

Jura S8 coffee machine has a varied range of quality coffee drinks, providing world-known specialties from espresso to latte macchiato. With just a touch on the color touchscreen display, one of 15 different specialties flows into the cup. Once your cup is ready, add milk or milk foam for a better rich taste of your favorite drink. I’m sure you’ll love it. The Jura S8 makes espresso with great quality and perfect taste. Milk foam is amazing, and this coffee machine is easy to use and keep clean. It looks great on any modern kitchen countertop.

The main difference between the designs of Jura E8 and Jura S8 lies in LCDs and technologies that follow each LCD. You have to use buttons or LCD touch to make settings, and there is the main difference between these models. If you own Jura E8, you’ll have to use the buttons placed around the LCD, since there is no touchscreen. On the other hand, the owners of the Jura S8 have all the convenience of using a touch LCD panel. Just by using a touch LCD, you can select the drink type as well as coffee strength and volume. Personally, I don’t care for touch so much, and to be completely honest, I prefer buttons in this case.

If you don’t care for the touch LCD panels, a color option could give a great advantage for Jura E8 comparing to S8. Unlike Jura S8 is offering only silver color, E8 comes in chrome or piano black. The most man could say, so what? The answer is, ask your wives, and find out… With the price these units are selling, it is important to fit your favorite coffee machine well. Don’t make a reckless decision.

Jura E8 vs Jura S8 Features and Accessories

I want to note that both models have a built-in frother and grinder. These features are highly appreciated. These coffee machines are adjustable in detail. No matter if we are talking about Jura E8 or Jura S8, users can adjust the temperature, water quantity, water hardness, water flow, coffee spout height, and coffee strength.

Maintenance and cleaning are a breeze with both E8 and S8. Both units are equipped with self-cleaning systems, and all you have to do is cleaning from outside from time to time. A self-cleaning system includes some extra features such as automatic anti-calc, anti-scale, calc clean function.

Beverages you can enjoy with E8 and S8 are: latte macchiato, cappuccino, espresso, ristretto, etc… Detailed specifications you can read by opening the product selling page. For the best coffee and espresso taste, both coffee machines have the Pulse Extraction Process built-in system.

Is There Something Else?

If you feel like buying neither Jura S8 nor Jura E8, maybe you want to look at these models? Depending on what discourage you from buying S8 or E8, I’m going to write a short alternative review. Both these models are Jura brand coffee machines, with some obvious differences.

Think about Jura Z6 or Jura E6 coffee machines.

Jura E6 was replaced with an E8 model, and those are quite similar. However, Jura E8 brings some extra features, and those are:

Jura E6 vs E8

Jura E8 works with ground coffee, it has more pre-installed and custom recipes, E8 uses an automatic cappuccino maker with a maximum cup height of 5.9 inches vs a semi-automatic cappuccino maker and a maximum cup height of 4.3 inches you’ll find in the E6 model. A flat White mode in E8 makes a classic cappuccino in one click, adding whipped milk to an espresso serving. E6 doesn’t have that or a similar function.

Unlike E6, the E8 has illumination of cups and filling sensor of the drops tray. If you won’t mind lacking those features, maybe you should go with Jura E6, because it is cheaper, and still looks almost identical to E8.

Jura Z6 coffee machine

Jura Z6 design matches the whole series design. If you’re familiar with Jura products, you won’t be surprised with Jura Z6. The app this coffee machine delivers is much the same as the app in other machines from this series.

This model is more than $1000 more than the previously reviewed coffee makers. However, it is a top-notch machine, and for those who don’t want any compromise. In size, it is just within an inch bigger and designed as a whole group of reviewed products from this post.

Jura Z6 has a polished aluminum frame, instead of the stainless steel its predecessor has.

If we talk about the price and focus exclusively on the super-automatic coffee machine itself, sure we can say that Jura Z6 is practically a bargain. For the best results, and top-notch quality, you’ll need to pay. The Jura Z6 is available in the United States, just like parts and accessories.

Final words

I have taken some time to make as much as possible good in detailed review for two Jura coffee machines. Jura E8 and Jura S8 are the focus of this post. You can read all about these two, and later on, if you still can’t find a coffee machine you like, there is a quick tour of Jura E6 and Jura Z6.

Comparing Jura Z6 with any of these models doesn’t have much sense. It is completely another class, top-class, what you can see from its price tag. Jura E6 vs Jura E8 however can be compared because these are direct competitor models. I hope you have made your decision and found the best Jura Coffee Machine for you and your whole family.
