Before writing the Moccamaster coffee maker review, I’m going to introduce you to the Technivorm brand and the products they specialized in.
Dutch company Technivorm is the manufacturer of premium quality Moccamaster coffeemakers and grinders. All Technivorm products have been proven with decades of presence worldwide. Technivorm coffeemakers have been produced since 1968′, and for many years some models have been available in the U.S.
The Technivorm makes durable and reliable coffeemakers, specialized in making quality filtered coffee machines. With all the history behind it, I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t believe in the quality of their products. Furthermore, Technivorm takes care of its environment by using recyclable materials and by making sure the products are energy efficient with a long lifespan.
Technivorm Moccamaster Review
In this post title, I’m referring to the Technivorm Moccamaster Review in general, which means that I’m going to make a short review for each coffee maker from this category. Keep reading and find out which coffee maker is your favorite. The Moccamaster KBGV Select, Moccamaster KBG, Moccamaster KB, and Moccamaster Cup One review and comparison follows.
Moccamaster KBGV Select Review
With KBGV Select you’ll get all the coffee brewing experience and enjoy the fresh and aroma-rich coffee flavor. The Coffee brewer for real coffee lovers.
I can say for sure, if you’re looking for a coffee maker with a brewer, don’t look any further. The truth is that Moccamaster coffee brewers have set the global benchmark for at-home coffee brewing. They have specially in-detail designed brewers to extract the maximum flavor from coffee grounds in approximately 5 minutes.
Writing a review for multiple products inside one post could be tricky. Still, I’m going to do that, and compare each with another (Moccamaster KBGV Select, Moccamaster KBG, Moccamaster KB, and Moccamaster Cup One). Starting with the Moccamaster KBGV, I’ll write key features for the rest of the product line and compare them.
Moccamaster coffee brewers are built to last, meaning that they’re produced by using the highest quality materials. Replacement parts are easily accessible if necessary. With proper care and maintenance, the coffeemaker should outlive its owner. This is a brave statement, but hey, I’m writing what Technivorm is saying to its customers.
The Moccamaster KBGV Select is the newest model with plenty of features. Currently, this is the top model available from the Moccamaster series. If you like your coffee easy to brew either a half or full carafe just use the selector switch that allows choosing the amount you prefer.
KBGV Select features a glass carafe and an automatic drip-stop brew-basket that stops the flow of coffee when the carafes removed. It brews a full 40 oz carafe of coffee in about 5 minutes. After brewing, the coffee’s kept warm by the specially designed hot plate. The hot plate’s independent heating element ensures that your coffee’s held at the perfect temperature, no matter the amount of coffee brewed.
NOTE: This is something I need to write; all Moccamaster Coffee Brewers are handmade in the Netherlands and backed by an industry-leading 5-year warranty.
Moccamaster KBG Coffee Maker Review
Not like the KBGV Select but close enough, the Moccamaster KBG coffeemaker has many features you’ll probably want. It has a glass carafe and an automatic drip-stop brew-basket that stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is pulled away.
Furthermore, the KBG brews a full 40oz pot of Coffee (about one minute difference, compared to KBGV Select) in six minutes. After the coffee is prepared, it is held on a unique hot plate. A hot plate is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop.
The hot plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee between 175° and 185° F. This way you won’t burn the coffee you’ve just made. After a pre-programmed time period, the hot plate will automatically turn off, keeping the coffee warm, and not burned or ruin in any way.
Once again: To note, all Moccamaster coffeemakers are handmade in the Netherlands and backed by an industry-leading 5-year warranty.
Automatic Brew Basket allows you to pull the carafe away and pour a cup without dripping from the brew basket. Comparing Moccamaster KBG to KBGV Select isn’t such a hard task. This is a cheaper model, lacking some features. Still, I need to note that design and durability completely are the same and there is no worry for those.
Moccamaster KB Coffee Maker Review
Let move on with the Moccamaster coffee maker review and the next model is Moccamaster KB.
The glass carafe maintains coffee quality, integrity, and taste. It uses a unique, independent hot-plate element engineered to hold coffee temperature between 175 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. This coffee brewer holds the desired temperature for a maximum of 100 minutes and then automatically shuts off.
Moccamaster Technivorm KB looks similar to KBG, and it is also simple to operate. This coffee brewer operates quietly and can brew a full carafe in just 6 minutes. Once full, the carafe holds 40 oz of fresh-made coffee.
While writing Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker reviews, after Moccamaster KB, I’ll make a review for the Moccamaster Cup One.
Moccamaster coffee maker KB model features a glass carafe and a manual-adjust brew-basket which provides adjustability in how fast coffee flows into the carafe. This model brews a full 40oz pot of coffee in about six minutes. Coffee is then held on a unique hot plate, keeping the coffee hot and ready for full enjoyment. The hot plate features two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee either at 175 or 185 F.
Moccamaster Cup One Review
Unlike models described above (Moccamaster KBGV Select, Moccamaster KBG, and Moccamaster KB), the Moccamaster Cup-One is a pod-free, single-serve, coffeemaker.
Enjoy the perfect cup of coffee any time every day. This coffee maker has a bit different design comparing it to Moccamaster KBGV Select, Moccamaster KBG, and Moccamaster KB. It operates without a pump, making coffee at the precise temperature for coffee extraction.
The Cup-One features a specially designed brew-basket to steep coffee and produces a 10oz cup in just about four minutes. I could say it operates faster than other models, but keep in mind you’ll get 10oz and not 40oz of your favorite drink. The Moccamaster Cup-one has a removable cup holder allowing you to fit different size cups under and use your favorite coffee cup if you have one. By placing an empty cup, and turning on this coffee maker, your coffee is ready to serve in less than 5 minutes.
Once the cup-one has completed a brew cycle, the coffee brewer shuts off for your convenience.
Conclusion
All these coffee makers, except Cup One, Are Technivorm Moccamaster coffee makers with glass carafe. This short review should help you choose the model you feel like you need the most. Choose an appropriate model, that fits your needs and start enjoying fresh-tasting coffee.
Moccamaster coffee maker review should provide enough details making a choice more simple and much easier. I hope you’ll find the best Moccamaster coffee maker for your taste, within a budget.
