In my own opinion, the drive system is one major difference between these two indoor cycles. While the Nordictrack S22i provides both automatic and manual resistance control, Peloton has manually adjusted resistance. Therefore, I find the Nordictrack a better option. In addition, the monitoring feature makes it easier to operate the NordicTrack S22i. Peloton lacks these features, which doesn’t mean it isn’t worth buying. Let me explain more about these bikes.

Nordictrack S22i vs Peloton goes further. It is time to compare the weight capacity of these bikes. When it comes to the weight capacity, I have to say that the Nordictrack S22i is the best. This bike supports up to 350 pounds, while the Peloton can support up to 305 pounds. It is a significant difference in favor of NordicTrack. Furthermore, NordicTrack is adjustable. It can be set up to fit most body sizes.
Screen and swivel comparison
While both bikes have 22″ screens, I find a Nordictrack S22i the complete winner here. NordicTrack comes with a 22-inch HD touchscreen that offers a 360-degree swivel. These features make the exercise machine very convenient since the screen can be adjusted according to your needs. Furthermore, the screen shows your workout routine, the classes, and other programs.
Although the Peloton has a 22-inch LCD and a 180-degree swivel, the overall rating goes to NordicTrack.
Setup and Accessories
Unlike the Peloton, which comes completely constructed, Nordictrack S22i needs to be set up. For those who decide to buy Peloton, there isn’t much to do after unpacking. Peloton needs a few adjustments, and it is ready for cycling.
In contrast, the NordicTrack S22i requires manual setup. Some could say is a little hassle for the user. Personally, I don’t mind it. Still, keep in mind that bike parts are heavy. Therefore, you cannot do it alone and extra hands are welcome. If you’re unfamiliar with tools, I suggest hiring a professional.
Both machines come with a few handy accessories. You’ll get dumbbells with a rack, bottle holder, and cage clips.
Note: The Peloton comes with clip pedals, but it doesn’t contain dumbbells.
Durability
While comparing these two bikes, the warranty period makes a huge difference. In this category, NordicTrack S22i is the absolute winner.
Peloton warranty: This exercise bike comes with a one-year limited warranty covering the screen and other parts of the cycle. Furthermore, the bike frame comes with the five years warranty.
Nordictrack S22i warranty: For the whole studio cycles product line, NordicTrack offers a ten-year guarantee on the frame, two years on the parts, and a one-year labor warranty on the flip side.
Conclusion
Both bikes are equipped with modern features. Above all, they are made from high-quality materials ensuring a long-last period.
Choose the Nordictrack S22i if you want to get the feeling of road races and do some indoor cycling workout sessions. Otherwise, for intensive workout sessions, I highly recommend Peloton.
Which bike is for you? It really depends on what you’re looking for. Both bikes are great, and personal preference may be deciding factor. In other words, if you don’t care about Peloton’s content, the NordicTrack Commercial S22i is a better deal overall. In addition, S22i is more versatile, it’s cheaper, and you won’t have to buy new shoes.
