Compare Jura Ena 8 Vs E8
First, we all want to know the design and convenience, and those things I’ll cover right away.
ENA 8 Coffee Machine
Jura E8 Coffee Machine
Talking about the design, and the first look at Jura Ena 8 and E8, you’ll notice their sleek and stylish look. Coffee makers are quite similar, with just a few details that help us tell what model we are looking at.
To be more precise, designs are almost identical to a control panel, along with spouts. However, the difference appears soon as you look at the water reservoir. While the E8 has a water reservoir that slides into the body for a neat construction, Jura ENA 8 has it on the right side looking at the machine.
Speaking about the color, I can say that Jura E8 is a bit more conservative model. It is available in two neutral colors of black and stainless steel. Unlike the E8, Jura ENA 8 is available in either metallic or red. Choosing a color is a personal preference and there is nothing to comment really. My personal favorite is the piano black.
Jura coffee machines are known for their higher price range, which is a well-acknowledged fact. The ENA 8 coming in slightly cheaper than the E8 Therefore, the question arises as to whether the Jura Machines justifies its cost. By carefully evaluating these particular machines, it can be confidently stated that the Jura ENA 8 and E8 offers exceptional value for the price.
Jura ENA 8 dimensions
The Ena 8 measures 12.7 x 17.5 x 10.7 inches and weighs 20.7 lbs.
Jura E8 dimensions
The Jura E8 dimensions are 13.8 x 17.3 x 11 inches with a weight of 21.6 lbs.
As you see, till now both machines have roughly the same specifications. They have almost the same dimensions and weight. However, there are some differences between them, but none to give the one product advantage over the other one.
To be completely honest, while I was writing this review, I’ve chosen the Jura E8 as a better choice. Just love the design and piano color. But hey, that is just me talking… I have to finish this comparison between Jura ENA 8 vs Jura E8.
Jura ENA 8 and E8 Capacity
Speaking about the capacity, I can say that Jura E8 wins. Both, the bean hopper and the water tank are bigger than those of ENA 8.
Jura E8 capacity: E8 is designed with a 10 oz bean hopper and with an 8-cup water tank.
Jura ENA 8 capacity: Jura Ena 8 has a 4.4 oz hopper and a 4.7-cup tank.
There is a significant capacity difference between Jura Ena 8 and E8. Furthermore, the Jura E8 coffee maker features dual spouts, and it is able to make two cups of coffee simultaneously. Jura Ena 8 can make only one cup at a time.
What Features Do They Share?
I’m going to start with the features and accessories that Ena 8 and E8 share.
Just by looking at the inside coffee machine you can see all the complexity and get a better understanding of the price. In other words, these machines are not cheap, but the price is reasonable considering all the engineering behind them.
Jura brand has been recognized worldwide for so many years, by selling only the best coffee machines. These two models aren’t exceptions, and no matter what you decide – you’ll get a top-notch fully automated coffee machine.
Enough said, let me note features and accessories these Jura coffee makers share, and those they don’t share.
Fully Automated Coffee Makers
Once again, it is worth mentioning, both coffee makers are Jura brands. I’m writing a review of two fully automatic coffee makers, equipped with Jura’s exclusive technology known as Pulse Extraction Process. P.E.P. optimizes the extraction time to ensure perfectly made aroma-full espresso. Both coffee makers are equipped with a modern TFT display together with buttons to adjust coffee strength and volume at ease.
For me, it is absolutely understandable that both Jura models feature built-in frother and grinder. Yes, they make fresh coffee without the need for specially made capsules. Therefore, you can enjoy the coffee beans you like the most.
Jura ENA 8 and Jura E8 have some extra features, and self-cleaning is the one I like the most. Besides that, both coffee makers have calc-clean, anti-calc, and rinsing functions. If you’re looking for Jura cleaning products, follow the link.
Other features they share are a hot water system, cup illumination, an auto shut-off system, and an energy-saving mode. In conclusion, technology is pretty much the same.
Let me note some features that are unique to each product. What they don’t share?
You can adjust the coffee strength on both models, but Jura ENA 8 has 10 settings while Jura E8 has eight. I can’t find anything else worth mentioning. Therefore, choosing the best coffee machine consists of details and technical specs you can read before buying.
Detailed Jura E8 review could be found in my previously written post, which is why I’ve decided to go with Jura ENA 8 review now.
Jura ENA 8 Review
My personal favorite is Jura E8. I like the whole design, and the features are mostly the same. Jura Ena 8 has some extra, but I don’t care so much. I like coffee, and I drink a lot of coffee every day. This coffee maker delivers all I want, and more if needed.
Design is something we can’t argue about. If you find Jura ENA 8 more attractive, or it suits your kitchen better, go for it.
The Jura ENA 8 provides a straightforward milk frothing system. To set it up, simply connect the milk pipe to the double spout and place the other end into a container with your preferred milk. It’s important to note that the texture of the milk foam cannot be altered. However, you have the option to personalize the amount of milk foam in each beverage, giving you the freedom to experiment and customize your drinks. Furthermore, the Jura ENA 8 excels in preparing a latte macchiato by first frothing the milk, allowing it to settle, and then extracting the espresso on top, resulting in a delightful, multi-layered drink.
To descale the Jura ENA 8, you should follow a few simple steps. Firstly, the machine will notify you when it’s time for descaling. Prepare by having Jura descaling pills, such as Jura 66281 Decalcifying, on hand. To begin the descaling process, remove and thoroughly wash the milking system at the end of each day, even though the machine already auto-rinses it after every use. Additionally, it is recommended to replace the milk hose every few months. Next, during the coffee system cleanup cycle, the Jura ENA 8 will prompt you. Follow its instructions and use Jura cleaning tablets, such as Jura 64308 or 66281, during this cycle. In the event that you do not use a water filter, regular descaling is necessary. The machine will alert you when it’s time to descale and guide you through the steps. For this process, you will specifically require Jura’s descaling pills. By following these guidelines, you can effectively descale the Jura ENA 8 and maintain its optimal performance.
The milk hose should be replaced every few months or so to ensure effective and hygienic milk delivery. It is important to regularly replace the hose to maintain the quality of the milk and prevent any potential buildup or contamination.
On the Jura ENA 8, adjusting the grind settings can be easily done by manipulating the grinding wheel located around the bean hopper. However, it is important to note that any modifications to the grind settings should only be made while the grinder is in operation.
The Jura ENA 8 offers a delightful range of options with its freshly ground coffee feature. With just a simple touch of a button, coffee enthusiasts can indulge in not one, not two, but a generous selection of 10 different specialty coffees.
The Jura ENA 8 is equipped with the exceptional Aroma G3 grinder as a standard feature. This ultra-automated grinder stands out as one of the best in its class. With its impressive speed, silent operation, and remarkable efficiency, the Aroma G3 consistently delivers finely ground coffee of high quality.
The Jura ENA 8 Signature Line offers three elegant panel options to choose from: Nordic White, Sunset Red, and Metropolitan Black. Each panel is carefully designed to perfectly complement the slanted brushed aluminum front of the ENA 8, creating a harmonious and stylish appearance.
The JURA ENA 8 does have a bypass doser. With the bypass dosing tube, you have the convenience of easily adding pre-ground coffee into the machine while it is in operation. This feature allows you to test out new coffee varieties or enjoy a decaffeinated brew without needing to empty the grinder.
Ive written these last few things primarily about the ENA 8 but most of the feautes apply to both machines with the exception of the color options available. The ENA 8 is the newer model with high tech features but a smaller capacity of both beans and water compared to the E8.
Before final conclusion, I’ll try to give you a short comparison, and make it easy for you to choose your favorite coffee maker. Features make the difference.
