A better printer to buy: Epson ET-3750 vs Epson ET-4750

Owning a home printer is the cost no matter what you do with it. Still, owning a decent all-in-one printer at home is a need and not a luxury. So many times we need to make a color copy, or just make a document scan to send it, and there is why I’m going to compare these two models. In case you’re looking for a good All-In-One printer, take a look at these Epson ET-3750 and Epson ET-4750 models, and choose wisely. I’m going to compare them and make a short review for each. Epson ET-3750 vs ET-4750.

Compare ET-3750 vs ET-4750

Both models I’m writing about are Epson brand, which I think is a great all-in-one printer manufacturer. I think that Epson has managed to incorporate technology, quality, and a cheaper solution to ink replacement with its Supertank range. I prefer Epson over HP, and other brands if we talking about Inkjet printing technology. I’m going to look at all the features of the Epson ET-3750 vs ET-4750, compare them, and write what each model delivers.

Printer Functions ET-3750 vs ET-4750

If you looking for a printer at home, Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750 have all the functions you may need.

You can work from home, print/scan old photos and documents, print the kid’s homework, and much more. Both models have the most wanted features: copy/scan, color print, and the Epson ET-4750 have built-in fax.

Personally, I don’t need a fax, and that is not something that could give an advantage to that specific model. To be quite honest, I don’t know anyone who’s using fax these days.

If you need a fax machine, this could be a model to go for. With a built-in fax machine, you can easily send and receive a fax. Just by using scan and print features, the fax you’ve received can easily be printed and physically stored in your home or office.

PrecisionCore Technology

What is PrecisionCore Advanced Printing Technology? First I’m going to quote the Epson brand, and then I’ll try to explain it.

PrecisionCore is a revolutionary step forward in printing technology. Engineered to deliver increased speed and unbeatable image quality, this high-density print chip generates up to 40 million precise dots per second with astonishing ink placement accuracy and fewer distortions and imperfections.

What exactly does it mean? Inside the Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750, there is a high-density print chip that generates up to 40 million accurate dots per second. Ink placement is fast and precise resulting in fewer distortions.

In short, both models are equipped with PrecisionCore Advanced Printing Technology from Epson, and you’ll benefit no matter which one you choose.

Printing quality is high, especially for home/office usage. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the printing quality at all. Not only that, with this technology you’ll save the ink and cartridges should last much longer.

Cartridge Free Printing

Considering how cartridges can be rather pricey, cartridge-free printing is a welcome feature in these models. Epson features cartridge-free printing in both (ET-3750 and ET-7450) all-in-one printer models.

Both models have refillable ink tanks that are located at the front of the printers. You will receive enough ink for approximately 14,000 black pages and 11,200 color pages. Based on an average of 300 pages per month, you should have ink for around 2 years.

Keep in mind that printer ink dries up if you don’t use it for an extended period of time. The best way to prevent an ink cartridge (printer head) from drying out is by running a small print job every week. That way you’ll keep your cartridge primed.

ET-3750 vs ET-4750 Wireless Printing

For more convenience, the Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750 are both wireless printers. You can print from any device inside your network or devices with internet access. You can connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi Direct.

I think it is a great feature to be able to print from a smartphone or tablet.

Auto Document Feeder

The auto document feeder on top of the Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750 has a 30-sheet capacity. This handy feature also allows for automatic two-sided scan/copy documents. Once scanned, you can print documents two-sided.

Differences Epson ET-3750 vs Epson ET-4750

There isn’t much to write while talking bout differences. These models are similar, with a few differences between them. However, I’m going to write the differences between Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750.

Epson ET-3750

This is the smaller printer. It measures only 14.8 x 13.7 x 9.1 inches. It is also nice and lightweight at 14.8 pounds.

Things I like:

  • The wireless setup is easy
  • I really liked the scanning software, it does a good job at scanning old photos
  • The size is great for smaller workspaces

I don’t like:

  • The quality of the auto document feeder isn’t great

Epson ET-4750

At 19.8 x 16.4 x 10 inches, it is still an average-sized printer and only weighs 15 pounds.

Things I like:

  • It’s great for homes and small offices
  • It handles a good range of different paper sizes, including legal
  • The setup and use is all straightforward

I don’t like:

  • I hoped for better print quality for the price

Final words

I find these desirable for home and small-office use. These models are pricey when you buy them, but they save in the long run. The thing that makes the Epson ET-3750 and the Epson ET-4750 so attractive is the ink tanks. If you print a lot, you will be able to save a fortune compared with using ink cartridges.

The larger paper tray, touchscreen, and fax are what make the Epson ET-4750 the better printer, tentatively speaking. These features don’t make this printer better in general, especially if you won’t use those functionalities.

One more thing: feature-rich (ET-4750) printer costs between $100 and $150 more than Epson ET-3750. If you feel that these features are worth the investment, this is the printer for you. If you won’t use them, go for ET-3750.

In my own opinion, the Epson ET-3750 is a perfect printer if you are looking for quality printing, and the ink tank system is a fantastic way to save money. The wireless connectivity is reliable, and it is a compact printer. It is suitable for home office, and for any small office, you’re working in. This printer is a space-saving multifunctional device.
